DAY 01: AIRPORT – COLOMBO

Meet on your arrival by a representative of Venom Holidays and transfer to Colombo. Check in at your hotel in Colombo. Rest of the day at Leisure.

DAY 02: COLOMBO – SIGIRIYA

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya Via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Afternoon proceed on an excursion to see the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock fortress which is a UNESCO world heritage site and was built by King Kashyapa (477-495). The spectacular citadel of Sigiriya rises sheer and impregnable out of the plains of the dry zone. It is a remarkable archaeological site made unforgettable by its dramatic setting. The rock was the innermost stronghold of a 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway.

Late afternoon proceed to Habarana in order to experience an Elephant Back Safari. This would take you through the jungles of Habarana and also cross a water tank. Evening Return to Hotel.

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA – KANDY

After breakfast drive to Kandy, enroute visit a Spice Garden. In Kandy Enjoy a sightseeing tour of city which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankan as “Kanda Uda Rata”, which means the hill country. Kandy was home to Sri Lanka’s last independent Kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British at the beginning of the nineteenth century.
Visit the Temple of the tooth, also enjoy a panoramic view of Kandy from upper lake drive. Kandy is also famous for its shopping, gems and jewellery, handicrafts, batiks, silks etc. And you will have the opportunity of browsing to your heart’s content.

Early evening, you will visit a Kandyan Dance performance and be treated to a spectacular fire walking finale.

Day 04: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit Kandy city and Botanical garden at Peradeniya. And leave for Nuwara Eliya via visiting tea plantation and tea factory. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Peradeniya Botanical Garden- This is a much visited and acclaimed botanical garden, which is also good for birds.
It is bounded on three sides by the Mahaveli River, which makes around the 60- hectare gardens. Before its use as Botanical gardens it had served as a royal pleasure garden. Peradeniya is the second largest botanical garden in Asia.

Day 05: Nuwara-eliya – Yala Safari

After breakfast proceed to Yala via Ella enroute visit Rawana Water Falls.

In the evening Safari at Yala national Park.
Yala National Park – Yala Block 1 has one of the highest densities of Leopards in the world. Yala therefore offers one of the best chances in Asia to see leopards. Other large animals you may see include Elephants, Sloth Bear, Mugger Crocodile, Spotted Deer, Sāmbhar, Barking Dear, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Jackal, Gray Langur monkey and Mongoose. Birding highlights include Malabar Pied Hornbill, Painted Stork, Lesser Adjutant, Black Necked Stork and etc.

Day 06: Yala – Mirissa Beach

After breakfast proceed to Mirissa via Hambanthota.

Mirissa and its breathtaking sandy beach pretty much transform your dreams and visions of a tropical paradise into an everyday reality. Located close to the Southern tip of the Island of Sri Lanka and only about 200 km from the Equator, this secluded crescent shaped beach is the perfect place to sit back, relax and forget about all the hussle and bussle of your other life that’s a million miles away.

Day 07: Mirissa – Airport

After Breakfast, prop off at the airport for departure flight.
